The Heart of the Father - Day 5: Living with the Father's Heart
Day 5: Living with the Father's Heart
Reading: Luke 15:1-7, 8-10; 2 Corinthians 5:17-21
Devotional: Jesus told these parables because religious people were grumbling about Him welcoming sinners. The entire point was to reveal the Father's heart toward the lost—and to call us to share it. We are called to be ambassadors of this compassionate Father, extending His grace to a world that desperately needs it. This means running toward the broken, celebrating restoration, and refusing to let shame have the final word in people's lives. It means resisting resentment and choosing joy when God's grace reaches the unlikely. The Father's love is greater than rebellion, shame, and resentment. As His children, we're invited to embody this love in our community, our families, and our world. Who needs to experience the Father's heart through you today? Who is walking the road home that needs to see God's love running toward them?
Reflection: How can you demonstrate the Father's compassionate heart to someone this week?

Closing Prayer: Heavenly Father, thank You for being a good, good Father who runs toward us with compassion. Help us to come home when we've wandered, to receive Your grace when we're ashamed, and to share Your heart with those around us. May we live as people who truly know and reflect Your love. In Jesus' name, Amen.
